Period 4

Yes, Eldrizzle finally gave the class a head-scratch-er of an essay. And yet of all days for him to have us write this essay, was the one day that he was gone. Besides writing the essay, Ed repeatedly crushed and reformed his water bottle; this drew the attention of almost everyone in the classroom. Then Sean, with his strange ways of thinking suggested that we (as a class) just take zeros on the essay due to its complexity. Other then that, it was an extremely uneventful day out side the palace of Eldridge. I am pretty sure that homework is the same as usual: Bedford and Scarlet Letter. Have an awesome weekend, don’t get too crazy.

Period 5

November 14, 2008 started out like any ordinary Friday afternoon in Brent Eldridge’s AP English class- except we had a sub . The in-class essay prompts were handed out, and we all began diligently working on our essays. This week’s in class essay was about a letter Lady Montagu wrote to her grandaughter and her view about the role of knowledge in the life of the woman of her time. She believed knowledge of things, not words was essential and used certain rhetorical techniques to convey this view. In my opinion, this was one of the hardest essays we’ve yet. The answer to the question was not staring you blatantly in the face like usual.

All was going well, until a hooting noise was heard from inside the wall. I don’t know what it is was (it sounded like an owl to me), but I only hear it on essay days. This noise caused many people to get sidetracked, but we soon became accustomed to it. Anyways, toward the end of the period, somebody’s phone kept playing music, and everyone kept blaming it on Chris Rini even though we know it wasn’t him.

Well, to wrap things up, I hope everyone enjoyed their three-day week and I hope each of you have a great weekend. And let me just say one thing, T.G.I.F.!!!!!!

Gellan Kashou (kind of like the nut depending on how you pronounce it)

P.S. We only have seven more school days until Thanksgiving break! Yay!

  1. That essay was ridiculous, even without my customary Essay Friday concentration difficulties. I sort of hoped that we got Mrs. Bennett again just so she would start rambling and none of us would be able to do our essays. Not that we were able to anyways.

Or, maybe it’s just me, and everyone else completely dominated that essay.

  2. This is slightly ridiculous, this hyperbole of yours. I put the water bottle in the desk cavity once and Ethan took it out… It was far from repeatedly. But yes, that essay was quite a BAMF.
