Period 4

HAPPY HALLOWEEEN!

everyone’s probably going to parties or trick-or-treating today, eating a whole bunch of candy, and getting sick. unless you’re a loser like me, and you’re just staying home…with no candy. how sad. haha…

well, i kind of missed the beginning of the period because i came from my history class late (with a pass) because we had an in class essay today. but i think we got the formatting and instructions for the dialectic journals (is that what it’s called? i forgot..) and mr e was happy he explained it in five minutes. then we got to our essays and it was about someone named Barry who wrote about the complexity of the Mississippi River. We also had a multiple choice thing on… a covenant? or something that starts with a “c”. man, i’m forgetting everything! contract? IDK!

then, mr e said, “oh, there’s colleen and anthony and adam spending more time on the essay, even after the bell rang…again.” hmm, i say he emphasized on the AGAIN part. lol, sorry! …again.

well, i thought my hands were going to fall off because i JUST wrote a six page history essay in third period, and i had to write another one. my hands were cramping up like crazy.

oh yeah, during the essay i have NO IDEA what sean was doing but apparently it was very distracting and mr e told sean to go sit at a different table, and then ed walked outside and came back in. i think it was because sean finally understood the passage, but i’m not sure.

also, i think when steven and mr e were talking about the passage, i remember eldridge saying that the syntax was repetition (which i did not put =/) and it was about science..

well, there wasn’t much to say and this was pretty short but oh well.

once again, happy halloween everyoneee and have fun tonight!

dont eat too much candy…

HA! who am i kidding… =P

i bet everyone’s going to bring their stash of candy on monday or they aren’t going to be there because they’re so sick from candy. and i’m going to be a loser and sit there without candy, just enjoying the daily feast my table and i have. haha…

mmk bye everyone!

p.s.: homework for the weekend is the usual–Scarlet Letter SG (i think Chapters 13-15) and Bedford Study Guide for Cause and Effect

Period 5

Happy Halloween, AP Students!
Hope you have a good one. I’m sure it would have been more fun had we not had to write an essay *glowers at Eldridge.” But at least it was scary.

Speaking of which, here are today’s costumes:

Myself: Harvey Dent (Batman, The Dark Knight)
Zachglasser: Zachary Glasser
Alex Carfi: 1950s Zachglasser
Alex Kolkin: Lt. Dangle (Reno 911)
Ryan Butcher: Cowboy
Danielle B.: Toucan
Alex Dessouky: Plumber…sorta?
Callie Aaker: Alien
Chris Rini: Scotsman (w/ Bagpipes)

Callie was kind enough to bring delicious chocolate chip cookies. They were yummy. Thanks.

As for business, we just wrote an essay and answered some multiple choice thing. The essay was an analysis of a passage by John M. Barry, and it was about the mighty Mississippi River. What fun. Still, I suppose it could have been worse. Also, we all turned in our October “From Journal to Essay” things.

Randomness:

“Being a character doesn’t stand in for having character.”
-Mr. Eldridge.

Callie’s alien hat thing was apparently filled with bugs. When asked to comment, Zachglasser responded:
“Omigod, ew…” A thought-provoking indeed.

Alex Tally:
Kolkin: 7
Dessouky: 7
Carfi: 7

It’s a dead tie, folks!!!

Also, on Monday during third period, Mr. Loftus and ASB President Matt Rennick are having a debate. Don’t miss it!

The sad but funny story of Native American History: “Temporarily Humboldt County: Winning of the West”

That’s all for now,

  2. Callie is my hero because those cookies were excellent. Keith, you won’t get one cookie until you admit period 5 is better. And Max Montemer is the ASB prez, not Matt Rennick (Peaches). BT dubbs.

  3. Zachglasser is a tab for this scribe page. I lol’d.

I actually prefer the new setup, as it looks more modern and streamlined. And there’s not pages upon pages of scrolling to find the right scribe anymore.

  5. I heartily agree, colleen. Looks like u have to make cookies for our math class, Callie, or u’ll have to deal with Colleen. She’s a vicious one i tell u.

And Carfi, I will NEVER say period 5 is better, no matter how many delicious cookies are at stake

  6. i agree with kieth entirely. period 4 is just incredible. i don’t really understand the whole cookie thing and don’t really want to read the passage that probably describes it because it’s late. Or maybe not because of daylight savings? i confused…

  7. I’m just kidding Keith. It’s so funny how angry everyone gets whenever I make comments like that.

  8. so you know how mr e said we would start analyzing everything and start thinking like the whole world needed dialectical journals?? well i already started!! in church today i made about a million connections to other stuff during the sermon…weird..

  9. yeah callie, those cookies were amazing. they helped make me feel a little better while writing that horrible essay. btw she also brings them sometimes for our spanish class too, so be jealous, i get them two periods a day. and it was pretty funny when callie started freaking out over the bugs on her costume. definitely worthy of a mocking, “omg EWWW!!!”

oh and i feel so special, i have my own tab on the blog, haha.

  10. It’s a sensitive subject Alex, what can I say

  11. Zach Glasser is totally correct about Callie’s freaking out over the bugs on her costume.
That was hilarious; actually, I think it was funnier than her random “BOB SAGET” spurt a few weeks ago.

Mmmm, those cookies were “pretty unique.”

  15. colleen! why didnt u go trick or treating? Is it because you think you are too old? Well, no offense but you could pass off as a youngster, unlike I, who is a giant, cannot. But, I went anyway and pretty much all the houses I went to they were like “what are you, like 20?” but whateves. I even stole candy from S Jones house. hehehee. It was funny. I will bring candy for you tomorrow though. I HAVE A LOT!!!! So yeah what would you like?
