Third Period Scribe Notes for 4/25/08

-Essays and other papers were handed back at the start of class.
-Mr. E spoke briefly about the scores on the essays. A 4 would mean that you misread the question, but still had good analysis. He then went on to say that on the AP test, it’s not about have the right answer, it’s about writing a thoughtful one.
-We then corrected some of the Multiple Choice passages from Fridays past. Process of Elimination – when done correctly – greatly increases the chances of getting the correct answer.
-Prompts of previous AP essays were passed out to be used as thesis practice (coming up with a thesis quickly).

OTHER TIDBITS:
-DBQ for homework.
-Next Friday, May 2, is late work day. For many people, that means the research project is due, among other assignments.
Next Wednesday, April 30, is a late start day. But we, as AP students, must be at school by 7:50 to do our pre-administration for the AP tests.
