The [extremely late] Scribe Post for Thursday, Feb. 28

First off, I would like to apologize for leaving a gap in the daily scribe section for this long of a time. Not sure if this still counts as points but either way I’m happy that I’m actually getting this done. I’m trying to get myself back on track, and so far it seems to be working…bit by bit. I feel the procrastination drug wearing off already.

At least I hope it’s gone before it’s too late.

Remember. Life won’t wait for you to make a move.

Getting to the topic…

Step inside my time machine. We’re going back to…

Syntax sheets were passed out, that is, Syntax 16.

On an odd note, Mr. E successfully invaded Schuyler’s dreams… And irregardless is considered a non-standard word.

As a reminder, dashes indicate a break in thought…colons are pauses.

Virtue essays due a while back :x

Final drafts read like rough drafts, but in time we shall switch that around. Showing extra thought and focus would help :) so I guess it would be acceptable and probably recommended to have these with you when doing an essay…

3 weeks in advance, take your time

your favorite drink, coffee, tea, mocha frappuccino, 2 liters of good ol’ h20 [ soda]

your favorite tunes….on iPod, stereo, or the oh-so-ancient walkman…just as long as it does not prove more of a distraction than a tool to squeeze out your creative juices.

A friend. Not only a shoulder to cry on but someone to lean on in the event of untimely assignments being hurled your way. Be sure to keep each other in check…especially if you have the dream of passing english AP. *coughcough*

When writing, always always remember…audience is most important. Don’t try to use Shakespearean language whilst writing to a concerned freshman. It will have the same effect as if you tried to explain the stock market to a five-year old.

Now, enough with the technical part of the day…everyone wants to know what REALLY happened in class.

Random Corner ^-^

Elisa’s intense hunger before snacktime seriously reduced her attention span…….

Apparently all stereotypical “O.C.” teachers do “The Discovery Channel” with students.

Procrastination bug has spread. Our virtue essays were ideas that occurred once upon a time and withered away with the forgotten past, along with unicorns and dragons, as figments of our imagination.

Reported sightings of a UFO [Unintentionally Flown Obstruction] in the classroom. Some say it was a paper airplane. But we all know the truth is out there.

Advertisements! They are everywhere, but they don’t necessarily sell the product. Example? Perfume commercials. Can you say, sex for sale?

Okay, that’s enough of the past. Shouldn’t dwell upon it for too long, but strain toward what is ahead. Because if you have your back turned to Today because you were reminiscing Yesterday’s mistakes, Tomorrow’s gonna hit you hard. Remember, each day has enough worry of it’s own.
