-Our fellow classmates passed back work.-Grade sheets were passed out.
-We went over Thoreau’s questions, from the packet.
-We did syntax sheet, number 15.
-Mr. Eldridge, showed us an ad, of a tic-tac picture with people inside of it… then we analyzed it as a class.
The question was: What do we see?
-
- The people representing this ad, are social and conservative.
- They’re ice skating.
- The colors are mainly green and white.
-Another ad, showed two white men, and one African American.
Who is the attended audience?
- This is not a racial ad, but we automatically assumed that.
- In this particular ad, the picture includes some text: “Toby, fetch me the key to the spring house.”
- Paul Jones – a blend of all straight whiskies.
- Their style is not very sheik, especially with those top hats.
- Lastly, the biblical rhetoric which includes the bible, politics and the rhetoric. This ad, attracts different kinds of audiences, because these are the type of things people need to know.
- The oratory screaming Edwards, McKain, Leborin, Fred Thomson and the pilar of salt, Obama, and Hilary Clinton.
In Greek: Logos means to reason and to have facts.
Pathos are emotions such as sadness or the feeling of sorrow.Ethos are the character of a person, presenting information; easily to agree with.
