*** Link Leaders *** BBQ this Thursday!
Posted on September 24th, 2007 by Mr. Eldridge
It’s been inked.
You should have gotten a phone call tonight re: our rescheduled date: this Thursday–@ 12:15.
So get in touch with your freshman. Note any phone numbers that aren’t working. Leave that call log in my box. We’ve got food for 600, music, a water balloon toss. We’re also open to suggestions. If you can contact your partner, the sooner the better. If you have any extra time, see if you can help make posters that advertise the event. Plaster freshman teachers’ doors and windows (You can always post on mine)!
Let’s so those freshies what T-Town is like.

Cry for help:
Does anyone here know (hope I spell this right) Denise Almangour? Because I happen to be her partner, and I in my lack of judgement did not get her contact info. And I ddn’t see her at our last meeting. So any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
(Aside: Let’s bombard Robinson with posters! That’s be fun….okay….)

I am sorry to inform you Mr. Eldridge, but my phone call said our BBQ is at 12:45. Am I the only one? Must we wear our shirts? I suppose we do. Well, let me know. = )

12:45 or not, you should all be out there at 12:00 capturing freshman as they try to scurry off campus–maybe you can set up an orange shirted barricade? That would be a great picture. If we wait until 12:45 they will be descending up on Currie and Utt creating havoc.
When I spoke to Mr. Jennings today we agreed from 12:15 to 1p. So if he changed it, it’s news to me!

It’s pumpkin time again. haha. Mr. Eldridge i just weared that shirt on Friday and i did the laundry on Thursday and you want me to wash again. it’s like a dollar for the washing machine and a dollar or so for the dryer. i’m not filled with money. Oh My Gosh. i do my laundry like every other week cuz i have enough clothes to wear for 2 weeks and now you are going to make me wear that not so cute shirt on Friday aanndd besides that you are going to make me wash and spend and extra 2 dollars on laundry when i can use it for the bus(i take the bus). that is so not right.
Why is God punishing me. Ive been a good girl.
Ok i’ve had enough drama time. so moving on i just think the barricade is an awsome idea and a funny idea to scare off the little kids more(i doubt most of them are smaller than me in height but i’m referring to little in age hehe)
Well if free food is there its ok with me. well gotta go call my kids(freshies is what i meant)
p.s.
the quiz was easy and well yeah just easy.

Mr. Eldridge, I can’t go to the Link Crew barbeque! 1) I have a tennis game, and 2) someone brought up the idea of “team bonding” up in tennis, so we are somewhat “forced” to have a team lunch.
Tennis isn’t much of a team-bonding sport, but I guess one of the freshmen brought up how they want to be like “family”. haha freshmen and their ideas…

Lily, the past tense of wear is wore (not weared)
And why don’t you just wear a Mini-T underneath your beautiful and elegant pumpkin patch?
Can you use apostrophes? Please?
And–you all rock! Thanks for coming out in force!

what is being served, because BBQ to me means Ribs and steak and chicken so please don’t disappoint me.
[Reply to comment]
it’s only for freshmen and link crew leaders

Teehe, this whole post/flurry of comments just made my day.
The idea of capturing freshmen has lead me to thinking about…pac-man. I don’t know why, but the image of a yellow blob chomping down dots and avoiding ghost blobs popped into my head…[Did you know the idea of pac-man originally came from a pizza? o.o] But certainly the idea of chaotic refugees being forcefully held back by a pumpkin patch is fascinating! Seems fitting, especially because Halloween is coming up…oh boy…

I hope that everyone enjoyed the water balloons pain stakingly filled and lovingly tied by Christina, Lauren, and me. No matter how short of a time their lives on this earth were, I’m happy that everyone had fun with them. =D

I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to Jessica Escribano. I had NO idea that water bottle would get so close to hitting you. Really, I SWEAR!

Kayla, I loved your work (and Lauren & Xtina’s) on the balloons–so much so I was wearing the product of three or four of them. Who put the trays next to Mr. Miller? When I was in the process of organizing a water-balloon toss, he decided that we were taking too long!
